Making their day: Rihanna took time out during her shopping trip at Barney's New York in Los Angeles yesterday to meet and greet her fans

Rihanna looked cute as a button dressed in a pin stripe romper suit and polka dot peep toe pumps as she was swamped by fans during a shopping spree at Barneys New York in Los Angeles yesterday.

The Bahamian beauty was enjoying a little R & R during a well deserved break from her Last Girl On Earth world tour.

Rihanna took time out from some serious shopping at the upscale fashion mecca, happily posing for photos and signing autographs for her adoring public.

Despite the unseasonably cool temperatures on the west coast of America Rihanna was defintely dressed for summer, at the same time showcasing her endless legs and toned arms.

At the beginning of the week Rihanna was in Canada kicking off the North American leg of her tour with shows in Vancouver and Calgary.

This is the fourth tour for the performer and it's a worldwide one, although primarily covering Western Europe and America.

Pixie Lott, Tinchy Stryder and Tinie Tempah appeared as opening acts during the European dates, with Ke$ha and Travie McCoy providing support in America.

In an interview with American show Entertainment Tonight Rihanna explained the name of her tour: 'I like to think about myself as "The Last Girl On Earth" because sometimes people make decisions based on the outlook of others,' she said.

'And you know, to me, my life is my life. It's my world and I'm going to live it the way I want to. That's how I think about everything, that way I'm focused on me, and my work. It's a really narrow space, a focus.'

Strike a pose: The accomodating singer showed her down to Earth side as she happily smiled for the camera with two of her older fans

With stunning set designs, amazing choreography, daring on-stage stunts and colorful, outrageous and sexy costumes Rihanna's tour is wowing the critics and audiences alike.

The Telegraph raved in their review: 'On the opening night of the UK leg of her world tour, US R & B superstar Rihanna was taking no prisoners.

'She kicked off with the homicidal pop-rock ballad Russian Roulette to screen imagery of burning naked mannequins and had shed most of her clothes by her second song, which saw her straddling the gun barrel of a life-size pink tank, while a semi-naked military dance troup twirled their rifles.

'Sex, violence and pyrotechnics (including big screen mushroom clouds to accompany the incendiary fire bomb) were the themes of the evening.'

Sounds like you may want to leave grandma at home for the night.
