Most of companies are like that. Only listing few companies on website does not help. Candidates should be aware of all the scenarios and think about difference scenarios.
here is what i suggest:
create a yahoo group or blog..and have ppl publish the name anonymously of the desi bloodsuckers...some kind of activism is required..instead of coming on this board like some ballless buggers and crying like babies...grow up and take back ur life...bytch..;-)
btw..i am not in IT so..i dont have to deal with suck suckers.. i have read so many posts abt this.. i am fed up..

First of all learn to "conduct" yourself in public before working for the semi conductor industry. What is gulti mentality pls explain? Second of all you chose to come here with the constraints that were imposed on you, did you have the balls to question the immigration officer as to why your wife could not work? If you think this is hell my friend you are in for a rude surprise.
When you want answers for your question there is a method for asking it, pls follow that method and you will get your answers, there are more people willing to help here than you will find anywhere. Ranting about communities will get you no where, now apologize and ask your question, someone will answer.

See really ..my ignorence on this option ( of making smaller contribution using paypal- donations@immigrationvoice.org )... is probably why some of the guys I have spoken to at work have also not contributed yet..though they all visit and adhore the IV effort..
But here is the one that turns me off everytime I visit the contribute section of the IV site.. (" Note : If you previously signed up for $20 per month recurring contributions, you don't have to do anything, they will continue as $20 per month until you choose to cancel them. Beginning 5/17/2007, we only have 2 options for recurring payments : $50 per month and $100 per month.

Seems like MOtor Vechile dept is fianlly caught up with the Retrogression. I have been driving with Temp DL past 5 months. I was thinking it was the random check but this thread makes sense to me now

If USCIS works round the clock, working all 200 days of an year, atleast giving green card every day for 100 applicants then from now 3 to 4 years is really optimistic and certainly possible . But I'll say better for to says atleast 5 years from now.

Everything from immigration to foreign policy to war to world relations etc. is done in the interest of capitalism, not in the interest of immigrants, citizens or other countries.
This is a country where capitalism is practiced at its extreme....
The drawbacks of capitalism are also seen here in their extremes....
Exactly when people get into situations like what 'desibechara' described, the socialist healthcare system of Canada scores big way!
Through my 3 year stay in Canada, I was made to pay 43% of my income as income tax - a lot of people around me would grumble about that, but I for once, have never felt bad about having to pay such high taxes in the interest of a socialist healthcare system...
It gives such a peace of mind knowing that one never has to worry about getting medical attention all our life...irrespective of our job situation....stories of people having to sell their houses just to get proper medical treatment are just unheard of...

You should fill out a form with the Ombudsman. Just google for it. They should help you with your case.
Is your NC cleared? Have you taken an infopass to confirm your biometrics and NC is all clear? There have been cases where fingerprinting was done but it wasn't reflected in the case status.
I was very disappointed at infopass five months ago for 140. The person did not even know the difference between EB2 and EB3. So, I am reluctant to waste any further time. My job keeps me traveling out of town 3 days a week.
Fingerprinting for my EAD was in June08, spouse and daughter in Sep07. Is there a separate Biometrics required for 485? How do I find out about NC clearance? Thanks for your help.

My wife has h4 visa till 2010.
Her AP is going to expire in october and planning to go to india soon.
Can she go to india after applying for AP renewal.
Applying for her AP because if my i 485 got approved and her's will be pending,then her h4 visa will automatically get cancelled which prevents from entering into US.
Please advice guys

I understand it is a mess and I never suggested it should not be solved. However, I know a lot of my friends in PBEC who will apply PERM (pri dates 2003/04) if the pri dates for India became current.
And I am myself stuck in Dallas BEC which is not even taking a look at State cases. And yes, if EB2 became current, I will file another labor in a jiffy. So, yes, it is a mess there but we got to look for avenues out of it.
I am , in no way, suggesting that we should not support PBEC overhaul if thats what it takes to get labor approved. But right now, Comprehensive Immigration bill is about GC and H1 numbers for us, it will not deal with labor backlog, USCIS backlog etc. So, what do we do now - should we raise an issue that politicians will hear, but not act on, or do we raise a red-hot issue of what hard country limits will do and there is a fair chance it might be acted upon?

No, we are not going to abuse this and we won't be sending stuff over and over. But stoppers have a very Specific significance: to educate and differentiate between legal and illegal. A stopper says "Stop the reverse brain drain"...A stopper would pique people's interest becase we are typically lumped in with illegals, and a stopper does not exemplify what illegals are. Actually, many Indians with US Citizenship are leaving too. What I have seen with my friends and coworkers is that, the moment they receive the US passport they book a flight to India and come back when ever they please. If media picks up that fact, then what is our strategy?
