Back home: Cheryl Cole has now left hospital where she was treated for malaria
Pop singer Cheryl Cole left hospital earlier today, the Daily Mail has learned.
The star, who was rushed to hospital 11 days ago after being struck down with malaria, has now returned to her home in Hurtmore, Surrey.
The star, 27, will continue her recovery at her £6 million six-bedroomed former marital home.
A close friend of the star revealed: 'Cheryl's at home now. She left the clinic early today.'
The star was rushed to hospital on July 4 after being struck down with infection disease malaria.
She was then quickly transferred to the Hospital For Tropical Diseases specialist unit at University College Hospital in central London as her condition worsened dramatically.
However, as her condition improved she was transferred back to a private clinic in London six days ago.
And on Tuesday evening, X Factor Svengali Simon Cowell - while admitting he had not been able to see her - had laid the ground for her discharge from hospital by telling the Mail: 'She will be out within the next day or two.'
Mrs Cole has already pulled out of her role in the boot camp section of the X Factor, which is due to start next week.
Her planned performances at the V Festival in Chelmsford and Stafford on August 21 and 22 have also been axed.

And the timing of the release of her second album - which had been due in October - remains under pressure.
It is believed Mrs Cole caught the virus after being bitten by a mosquito while on holiday in Tanzania last month with US dancer and close friend Derek Hough.
Hough, 25, had been at her side during her stay in intensive care –as has her mother Joan Callaghan.
The singer had been feeling ill for a week – but her health probems came to light when she dramatically collapsed at a photo-shoot 12 days ago.
At first it was believed she was suffering from exhaustion or gastro-enteritis – and she was ordered to rest.
However, the following day her condition deteriorated rapidly.
Tired: Cheryl, on The X Factor judging panel with Simon Cowell, Pixie Lott and Louis Walsh two days before collapsing, is said to have relied on sweets to give her an energy boost
The star was ‘sweating and shaking’ at her £6 million home in Hurtmore, Surrey, according to friends.
As a result, she was rushed to hospital on Sunday evening and the following day malaria was diagnosed.
Doctors have also been concerned that Mrs Cole may take longer to recover than some patients because of her diet and her punishing work schedule.
The star had thrown herself into her work since her marriage to Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole collapsed in February.
As well as being an X Factor judge, Mrs Cole has also been building a hugely successful career as a solo pop star.
In recent months, that has meant her taking part in a European tour and recording her second album in both Britain and the US.
A friend said: ‘Doctors are concerned that her immune system is weaker because she’s been working so hard. They believe this may make it harder for her to recover quickly.’
Taking its toll: Friends say the breakdown of Cheryl and Ashley's marriage affected the singer's eating habits and caused her to lose weight
