Quick reactions: Chloe Sevigny rushes to the aid of a friend as they say goodbye on the set of Something Borrowed in New York yesterday

It's one of the unfortunate hazards of wearing a summer skirt.

Actress Chloe Sevigny was forced to rush to her friend's aid after her dress was caught by a gust of summer wind yesterday.

The white fabric blew up as the pair said their farewells on the set of Something Borrowed in New York.

Sevigny reached around and grabbed the dress before her friend had even realised what was happening.

Despite the 35-year-old's quick reactions, she couldn't completely keep her from losing her dignity.

But the pair seemed more amused than upset by the mishap, laughing it off.

Sevigny isn't appearing in the film, which stars Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin.
Instead she was visiting Goodwin, a long-time close friend.

Goodwin was spotted showing Sevigny around the set, in Manhattan
