No pain no gain: Kate grimaces as trainer Angie helps with a lift
Getting back in shape can be a tough challenge for many new mothers – but for Kate Garraway it’s just a walk in the park.
The 42-year-old GMTV presenter was spotted taking a stroll last week with her baby son Billy and stopped for a work-out with personal trainer Angie Dowd.
Kate – in a stylish blue stretch top, knee-length gym pants and black trainers – went through a tough session of lunges, squats, weights and aerobic exercises as her trainer urged her on.
She has been following her fitness routine several times a week since Billy arrived in October, and it has had a dramatic effect.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant shed two stone within four months and is now a trim size 8-10.
At her largest Kate – who also has a three-year-old daughter, Darcey – said she was a size 16.
She admitted to cravings for chocolate and biscuits and said that she loved her ‘child-bearing hips’ during both pregnancies.

But Kate’s new figure is not all down to her gruelling exercise routines.
She has also been following a strict diet regime – eating healthier dishes.
She was helped in her efforts by having free hampers of pre-prepared low-calorie meals – conveniently arranged in seven-day menu plans and ready to microwave – which were delivered twice a week to her London home
