Hat's not a good look (or a good blouse): Peaches Geldof champions 'trashy granny chic'

Dressed in the dark? Peaches Geldof dressed in short shorts, a granny blouse and red hat at last night's Spring Cocktail Jam in Los Angeles


With the right outfit, she may just have managed to pull off the hat.

But Peaches Geldof made a definite fashion miss-step at a glitzy party in Los Angeles last night with a rather ill-conceived concoction of garments.

The socialite donned an unflattering billowy blouse that wouldn't have looked out of place on a woman three times her age.

And with her revealing short shorts, which showed off her tattooed legs, the 21-year-old's look was far from classy chic and more akin to 'trashy granny'.

Peaches, a daughter of Sir Bob Geldof, was accompanied by her new boyfriend, film director/ actor Eli Roth.

The 38-year-old Inglourious Basterds star played it casual in jeans and a Devo T-shirt as he joined Peaches at the Spring Cocktail Jam, hosted by Charlotte Ronson and JCPenny.

Among the other guests at Milk Studios were 90210 stars Shenae Grimes and Jessica Lowndes.

Actress Mischa Barton also turned up, dressed down in black leggings and top, and Desperate Housewives star Drea de Matteo was another VIP in attendance

Paris Hilton and sister Nicky also lived up to their reputation as the ultimate socialites as they mingled with the guests.

And Mark and Samantha Ronson made sure they were on hand to support their fashion designer sister Charlotte.

Meanwhile Peaches's younger sister Pixie was pictured smoking a cigarette as she waited for a flight at Los Angeles LAX Airport yesterday.
