You honestly believe that our problems are comprable to the suffering that the real victims of ethnic cleansing go through?
2 different kinds of torture. The mental and the physical. Even though the extent to which we are being made to suffer (voluntary though) is not even close to the ethnic cleansing, all this anxiety about one's future is sure to send us to an early grave.

My labor is filed in EB3 , and i am awaiting Certification.
My PD is Nov 2007.
I dont feel that i am gonna get even EAD in the next 10 years, with the current delays,unless something major changes.
Any hopes??

No. This is NOT what I said.
Filing for I-485 covers out of status covers in most cases and it does not cover out of status from last admission to the date of I-485 filing.

I called the 800# today bec the TSC IO told me to check back after45 days and now I was told to wait for 90 days bec of the JulyAug backlog. After I conversed with the IO I told them what if the application is lost , should i be refiling my 485 , since the deadline is Aug17, so she transfered me to her super wiser and he looked for my name in the system and told me there is no update so far and he is placing an inquiry and that will take another 30 days and there is nothing else he can do in regards... And the wait of 30 or 90 days is way passed the Aug17th deadline.
I think USCIS should honor resubmitted application passed Aug17th deadline if we have to refile our I485 due to lost mail based on Tracking conformation from FEDEX which have the Signature conformation of IO when they received the mail?
There isn't lot of time left if I have to refile my 485 application , I have to call my lawyer to get the paperwork ready, Employer for the job letter and not to mention the Doctor for the medical ,I don't even know if he will issue a duplicate I693 or i have to get all the test redone ?

Can you please brief us regarding what action IV has taken...

I haven't heard anything like this (yes random checks I seen by cops in NJ) but not searching all cars on a highway and then verifying if everyone is legal and harassing them if they have not carried their immigration papers.
I read long ago after 9/11 that law enforcements used this tactic to jail folks who were suspected terrorists but if they are using this to discourage immigration (legal immigrants) it would be a real shame.
where are these commands coming from its not like one county suddenly gets up and starts doing random inspection, their must be a higher authority who is making these rules

We got the "welcome" and "card production ordered" email for my wife and I today too. It was a long frustrating wait at times but I am glad its over for us now. Our best wishes to those that are still waiting.
No RFE at any stage, straight forward case, never called them for status or infopass. Took them about 4.5 years.
Here are our dates for those interested in tracking.

Ohio labor approved - Oct 2004

AC21 package... any idea how much do they charge ?
Also if i use any attorney for coining just the "AC21 reply" will it change my case representation ? i mean do i have to use attorney for future communications as well ?

I have same understanding - from friends, who got greencards.
There is no need to let USCIS know about changing job after 180 days of 485 filing. U should have offer / empl letter from the employer when your priority date becomes current.
Job title can be different but job duties must be similar.
Salary difference is ok but it should not be less than what is mentioned in labor certification.
In addition to this couple of my close friends got GC recently and they never notify USCIs about new job(AC 21).

YES! They did broke law by provisioning visa numbers for applications that had not cleared FBI check. Their book clearly says the visa number needs to be alloted only after the application is 100% ready for adjudication.
Are we 100% SURE that this happened???

My case is exactly same as yours except my PD is Feb 27th and I received an RFE for Birth Certificate when the dates went current in 2008 August. Since then I saw LUD's for 3 weeks and then its been all quiet I am hoping that means application was pre adjudicated.
Folks, we had an interview in December of 2008 and the IO said that had the dates been current, she would have approved our 485.
Now that we should get current from August 1, can you hazard a guess as to what might most likely happen? Do you think we might get a biometrics notice once again since fingerprints expire after 1 year (my understanding)? Or do you think we might get a CPO notice? Or some other third thing?
Please enlighten. :confused:
