I have a EAD L2 Based valid till 2009. I havent worked in US till now after getting EAD. Now I have to travel to India for a Month. What will be the procedure to retain my EAD after I come back to US after 30 day.

I also got my "Card production ordered" status few days back.
however I also received a mail for biometrics appointment of 05/02?
the biometrics letter date is 4/14 and my "Card production" status change was on 04/21.
why would they send me a biometrics appointment and then approve my 485 and issue me a GC? is this common?
should I still go for the biometrics appointment or just ignore it, I'm assuming that i'd have my physical GC in had before 05/02

My last entry into US was before I spent 6 weeks in recovery and subsequently changing my employer. I was not paid for the time I worked before I quit my employer. I had no issues with transfering my H1. I have letters from my clients and DOL verified that I was working at the client locations. I went through an IRS Audit as well last year because the wages reported by my employer to the IRS were different from the annual wages I reported in my tax returns and I owed IRS some money ( I never got a W2 for that year from my employer and when I contacted IRS they sent me a form on which I had to enter information based on the paycheks I have received). During the audit I had to pay my taxes as a preventative measure and also write a letter to IRS explaining my situation. IRS contacted NJ DOL and had my employer correct the wages he reported and sent me a letter that I was accurate. I will still have to work on getting the additional taxes I paid IRS back which is another story. it has been 2.5 years and the saga still continues. If I ever get an RFE about not getting paid for those 4.5 months I will worry about it then
Now Regarding my H1 stamp: I decided not to go for stamping. I am just going to use my AP and come back. I talked to my lawyer today and I told him that I did not go for stamping after I changed employers and also indicated I want to come back using my AP. I think -We have to come to our senses. The law wants to treat us as slaves. Do the work and go back. They do not want to give the opportunity to have the american dream. They do not have problem with mexicans, or arabic country people, or anybody. All they want is - we do not want smart talented ones to take our white collar jobs.
We are screwed by our Desi employers, the law. We do it for $. So it is really upto us to choose from. Money or respect.
When I see fellow indians, at the age of 40, I feel pity. Most of us would see that they are in dilema as what to do. What they are doing is correct. They live a succumbed life.

Are you saying EB3-India visa date will be set as Jan 2004 by USCIS some time soon? I thought they kept saying that EB3-India dates would move very slowly only. So from the current Oct 2001 to Jan 2004 is a very long and narrow road.
Applicants with PD before January First 2004 will mostly be current by December 2008 end. That is what I belive, USCIS will head towards. If it will not happen than do not kill me.:) Ultimately we all are in USCIS's lap..

Most of the Eb3's are either working for big companies who won't do GC in EB2 or not qualified for eb2 ( so called 3 year degree ) and enjoying all these years when they know clearly eb3 is not going any where ...what in the world prevent them to move up the ladder and porting their PDs ...They dont want to take any risk and just show their frustation in internet forums

So dear Mr. pathfinder, could u suggest me a �BETTER" path if I have 3 years of bachelors from India with 8 years of IT experience when I landed in USA in 2003. I applied my labor in 6/2006 and my I-140 got rejected when I applied under EB2 category coz My (B Com) was 3 years of degree and not 4 years. So, don�t generalize the problem just because you are not facing it.

As to the details provided, these were not required details and I didn't agree to anyone to call me at home. I entered the phone, because the form was broken and gave me some errors. Btw, the registration form is still broken, because it has a section for Required Information, and Additional Information. In Additional Information (which I assume is optional), it is still asking whether I'm going to attend DC Rally in 2007. If you do not answer the question about the rally, it doesn't allow you to register.
I haven't filled out all of details, because as I said, I thought they were optional. If there was anything missing that you want me to fill in, you could've told me so rather than ban the handle.
