Considering,
- EB3-EB2 upgrade
- Slow VB date movement
- No FB spillover
- Growing economy (which will further reduce the spillover/across numbers further in coming years)
Have you ever wondered what are the options you have?
We know, we are stuck with H1. Some of our problems are
- Resumes are rejected as many(most) companies prefer Citizens/GC/EAD than H1.
- Many RFEs and question with H1 Extn.
- Getting visa stamp at consulates is a (mental) pain.
- Consider the time spent from vacation for getting visastamps.
- Problems at port of entry( So many questions). We don't know what is new in store when we comeback from vacation.
- Pain of planning for a short visit(week) for emergency issues/family functions.
- Hard time in finding a H1 sponsor for H4 dependants
We know for sure that we are not going to get GC now. We don't know the exact wait time. What is our interim relief? Have you ever wondered how an EAD and AP will help you in the current situation? Have you ever dreamt the return of summer of 2007?

I think it is a mistake to assume that EB2 category can be determined by wage levels
Mine is Wage level -II but I have a masters from the US. It all depends on the job requirement.
Also, I know a person who is wage level-III but is EB3.

If the registration date on the birth ceritificate is latest, not obtained during her birth, then you might need to back it up with secondary documents. Any of the above said documents, including 2 affidavits, should be submitted along with the bc. In any case make sure that all secondary documents includes both your parents full names. If you are using 2 affidavits as secondary documents then make sure that affiants full names and their date and place of birth information is also included. This is exactly what I did. I have submitted latest bc and backed up with 2 affidavits. This is what I learnt from my attorney. USCIS has received my response and application processing resumed and I am putting my fingers crossed:rolleyes:.
I will let u know if my status has changed. Please keep in mind that what I said all along in this thread based on my experience. Do some more research and come to your own conclusion. Good luck.

Hi,
I have Visa stamped in my passport till 2010 , my passport expires in July 2008 , so i was given I 94 till july 2008 when i last entered USA. I have renewed my passport . How do i change the dates in I 94 . I tried Def. Inspection sites in San francisco they say it cannot be done there . Can i travel to mexico and come back the same day and get a new I 94 .

good one my friend...but even with SKIL how many of us are already sooooooooo frustrated and sick of waiting that we / they may still think twice about enduring the famous I-485 stage nuances (name checks, background checks and all other checks) and with all that in mind still decide to 'hang in' and eventually get GC ..?
Anyways, I'm afraid GC just turned into a great 'Waiting for Godot' situation - but we haven't realized it yet :rolleyes:

Gradually it has to come to 2007 for sure
because
1)It came till OCT 2006 in 2007 as well as in 2008 , There would be really few members who would have missed the two boats under EB2
but there will be EB3 -> EB2 conversions not sure how many , Hard to estimate
2)The applications to USCIS are gradually decreasing and the trend probably will continue in 2010, Hence lesser revenues for USCIS
so if PD is stable in coming months or even if it has slow and steady increment, I believe 2007 will be current again in coming 3 quarters, if it doesnt happen in oct bulletin

FP is a definite requirement before AOS is adjudicated. No fp will delay decision. Remember 'low-hanging-fruits' once visa numbers are available
You are correct, Folks who hasn't got the FP done, and their dates are current ( AUG 08 VB), Get a Infopass. It doesn't hurt you, but it may help your case

You can go for infopass though I am not sure how helpful it will be. In my case I was able to get the same information by talking to level 2 support at USCIS. My 3 infopass appointments were no good really in terms of getting any update.

Did you already applied for H1 extention and got RFE or you are just assuming you might get RFE. I recently applied extention for another 3 years and got it successfully. Our AOS is also pending. So dont worry. Anyway it is you choice to use EAD and extend every year.

This is called Pork-Barrel politics. It refers to government spending that is intended to benefit a particular politicians view point in return for their political support on a non-related item.
It is unfortunate that we are put in a situation to support an unethical (not illegal though) practise, but bottom line, this ammendment (if passed) will help us.
My personal view is not to piggy-back our provisions with a bill that is either non-related (like the defense appropriation) or a moral opposite (illegal immigration).
It would be so nice that if we have the clout to influence the law makers to have "our own" bill with just our provisions.
I am sure we will achieve that goal with the progress IV is making in that area.
How come a bill which talks about " ....authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2008 for military activities of the Department of Defense......" can link an amendment which talks about different thing i.e. "..Recapture of Unused Employment-Based Immigrant Visas..."

The sb26 should have no problem. My daughter is using my 20 years old little Nikon flash (name???) on her N65 film Nikon.
According to the 6) lens compatibility, you can use the non-cpu (non-AI, AI, AIS) lens in "M mode, but exposure meter won't function". My guess is: either it's like a lens adaptor, (and lose all auto-function!!!), e.g. a Hassy - Nikon adaptor or Nikkor-EOS adaptor. You focus with the lens wide open, manually turn-select your f-number, expose with the internal meter, and release shutter, ALL manually. Alternativelly, the diaphagm may "clock" automatically, but you have to meter using an external meter, set the exposure manually, and release shutter. Either way, you lose "exposure metering in one way or the other". The fore is just my guess. I would always try it out in a local store before buying anything (online).
BTW, I don't know your finanical situation and your aspiration (particularly future) for photography. You are buying into a (D)SLR system. The body is the cheapest part you buy. The rest of the system causes you two arms and a leg. Excuse my straightness (rudeness?). The three Nikon items don't worth much in the used market. I am a 25 years Nikonian, a technology trailer, currently have a F2AS and a D1 (and a Hassey, plus a couple broken Rollei TLRs), decided to switch to Canon EOS 1-series, just waiting for the right time. I think Nikon has given away on the high-end DSLR to Canon. I mainly shoot landscape and PJ, and loves to travel to exotic places - stormy desert, rain forest, high altitude plateaus and snowing avalanching mountains (>4,000m), etc. I need something SOLID.

Swamy - (with due respect to IV who i totally support in every which way!) but what have u done other than joining a state chapter, contributing $$ to IV and holding signs at the DC rally.?? Is this what ur life has come to now..?? Only to motivate people to join IV..?? How long do u plan on conitnuing to do this.?? Wake up buddy..!! Thats right. It all depends on the state that H4 visa holder lives and intends to go to school; for instance State of Nevada does not allow H4 Visa holder to get in-state tution fee, however State of Ohio does allow in-state tution fee for H visa holders (includes H1 and H4).
