What is AC21 provision: is this a clause or any other application or ???? This is a clause.

if u change ur job using H1 transfer..so does it mean ...he has to restart his GC all over again?? ok i am little confused here..

I believe AC21 is for shifting employers on EAD after 180 days of I-485.

I'm guessing it flew into a dowel that someone was using for whatever. Maybe attached to a dock, or on rocks, or even in a local dump. Whatever it was, the bird would have crashed into it with pretty good force. That leads me to believe it was attached to something and the bird came in to land straight on, so the profile was just a dot.

It takes only one person to start a movement and everyone follows it. When 4 people do it, it will be a seed for something big.
I am sure now we will get people from across the country doing this in their towns, Malls, Grocery stores, temples, restaurants etc.
This is how a grassroots movement catches momentum and is successful. The success of our rally depends on such people who will go out of the way and make the extra effort.
Kudos to Sanjeev, Raj, Murali and Kumar. You are our heroes of the week.
On behalf of core team, we thank you for this effort.

This is a situation with my friend that I am posting under my name...
Questions are mostly related to regarding EAD situation
1. My friend is on H1 and have EAD (June'07 filer) for both him and his spouse... his spouse (secondary aplicant) is currently working on her EAD.. If his company lays him off... Would his wife have any effect on her employment?
2. Could he renew my EAD/AP on my own with no employer support (despite he has no job)
3. What if he goes to India on AP (or otherwise).. would that have effect on his wife's EAD/employment? If he goes to India on AP.. for how long could he go?
4. Could he take up any job and keep switching till priority date becomes current? Also what happens if and when priority date becomes current?

will appreciate a reply ..I had changed my wifes last name to our married last name (in SSN). her EAD and 485 is in her maiden last name.
will this create an issue when we renew her EAD ? I wanted to renew with our married last name.

Ask your lawyer to inform USCIS about the name change.They will send all supporting documents like marraige certificate, drivers license etc. If you want to change it after getting the green card, you will have to file form I-90 and pay $300 fee.

If it continues, CIR will be passed giving path to citizenship to ILLEGAL immigrants without any measure for employment based immigration. With the rising unemployment rate, nobody will listen to these businesses. With the indictment of (even a few) cases of H-1B fraud, AILA will not be able to fight the impending tsunami against legal employment based immigrants.

There is a clause saying that you need to be in status for last 180 days since your last entry to US. And since u are in good status for past 180 days u r good. Consult a lawyer on this as well, but I think u may eb fine

Last week, I submitted my documents to my lawyer but until now I haven't received any confirmation from my employer yet if my application has been filed already. We are not allowed to contact our lawyer directly so I'm just relying on my employer about this. I'm quite concerned coz there's no way for me to find out if they have filed it or not.

Labor and 140, it is undeerstandable for employer - lawyer protocol, but 485 that must not be the case.

I still don't have my GC(based on an Engineering position) but took up a managerial position within the same organization.. IMO, its a risk worth taking.. If I were you, I would take the new position, switch over to EAD and not apply for the H1B extension..
