Including spillover generally EB3-I clears up around 5000 visas per year on average ( Though theoratically stuck at 3300-3500). 3 visas per applicant is at bit high end. I would not assume everybody is married AND have child.. I would put that around 1.75. But, yes, even if select these new parameters than also it would take years..Theoratically, ofcourse:):)

Foreign Workers". However the rally held in Washington DC is by Legal Skilled Immigrant Workers ( not mostly legal) to address the delay in securing a Permanent Residency through employment. Majority of the workers are waiting for atleast 6-8 years in the same job on temporary visas, not availing the job progression which their education, skills and experience would otherwise offer on the permanent visa.

There are some ppl who will never wakeup, always think themselves as baggers. They do not know what they can achieve if they are united and if they have some willpower & brain. East-Indian-americans are not even 0.5% of the total US population and are among some of the highly successful ethnic groups.
Banks got bailout as they made noise, so are the auto companies. We have many fools who are still in denials even after such a big injustice (unfair country quota for EB category), they just hide behind their false explanations & stupid theory and never even think that asking for or fighting against injustice. This is called escapism.

my attorney says even if you send it today to be delivered on Monday July 2 USCIS might also reject cases delivered on july 2, if visa bulleten is revised on july 2. does anybody have any idea what USCIS did for others workers category, did they reject cases filed after June 5 or reject from June 5 itself (I believe June 5 was the date when DOS said they retrogressed)
No one knows what will happen on Monday, However, I think you should send out your application. I send my application on Friday and I don't know whats going to happen. I would rather send and wait instead of just waiting without sending. Who knows, I might sneak in huh :)

First, with out name check cleared by FBI, no 485 will be approved. Assiging visa number to a 485 appliction initally, nothing to do with name check. Can someone clarify to our needy members the difference between employment verification letter and employment offer letter please try to understand EVL is not neccesary if you can produce latest payslips from the Employer who sponsored your GC but employment offer letter is very important from the same Employer who sponsored your GC.
Where is anything said about an offer letter/ payslips?

I agree. I tried to see if there is a way FB category in 2009 might have received a spillover from EB. But thats almost impossible given EB is severely backlogged.
Another way to verify unused 13K in 2009 EB would be to check 2010 FB limit. If there were unused visas from EB in 2009 then they go back to FB in 2010.
Finally, per Ron unused is not same as wasted. Unused is unassigned. Wasted is .... assigned but action is not taken to close the case. If that is the case then wasted visas won't be available .... neither inside or outside category. It is frightening to think that with so many preadjudicated cases USCIS might be wasting visas! I don't believe this .... but if true ... it is outrageous.
I have asked to Vin13 if he/she can get source of information from Ron. If you have good contact with him can you ask for source of info ? Any link to USED vs waste number. Or even any link that made definition of USED visas and waste visas and their number for last year ? I am serious to get this fix this time , if I get a link to some document that clarify.
