Like most of you, my knowledge of Notes is about 10 years out of date, so I had a look at the wikithing
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Notes
Hmm, interesting read. Seems lots of updates recently. Gone from 43 million to 120 million users in the last few years. Quite impressive database based multi-channel document handling and communication app. Useful replication of databases so that work can be done offline, and updated when next online.
Lots of gotchas tho, see the criticisms in the article. Notable that they only implemented a number-of-unread-emails count in the 2003 edition.

It may not quite be as fast in a 1,1 but it's still plenty quick. I can run Starcraft 2 @ 1920x1080 pretty much maxed out without difficulty. If you intend to keep the machine I don't think you can justify not upgrading it at this point ;-)

The key area of your problem is highlighted in red.
Based on what? YOUR opinion? It's a vanity issue. His/her email address is given on business cards, membership directories, etc. and so a matter of self-expression. His/hers is a valid opinion, as yours is as well.

I downloaded the Sling Plug-in for Mac off the Slingbox site. When I click to start the installer that downloaded it pops up a box that "ask you to close Safari"??? while the installer is approx one minute from finishing the install and then it locks the progress bar..........when you close Safari as requested it then cancels the install and gives "Installation Failed" message ( well duh; I am forced to close the internet browser)

Thanks. I am proud of that picture. Not only was I lucky enough to get the timing right for a home run photo, I was lucky enough to witness and capture history with his 100th career home run. :)

When you first create a folder, iOS assigns a name. You can change it if you like. I have folders for Utilities, News, Entertainment, Bookmarks, Photography etc. After adding apps to a folder I put them in alphabetical order.

I installed untrackerd.
So since there is no answer to my earlier question, I take it that the posters who take issue with the tracking have not bothered to correct the issue on their phone and desktop, which would seem like they care more about posting complaints than being tracked.

Will it compile under xcode? :D
Actually, I misspelled the second craigFederigh variable (I miss autocomplete) so I'd get a build error.
Also, even if you had a 3-D printer to make the code come alive, I'm afraid what
[bertrandSerlet release];
would do. Puff of smoke? Soylent Green?

That's like saying if someone crosses the street without looking both ways, they deserve to get hit by a car. It's just this kind of Neanderthal "logic" that scumbags like the seller employ to brainwash themselves into thinking they're anything more than pure scum.

Is iCloud really $4.5 million better than MobileMe?
For a company that profited several billion? Yeah, probably. :)

I disagree. There are plenty of people working with PS using just a mouse, which isn't pressure sensitive. Remember in the keynote demo of Garage Band, it was mentioned that Apple accomplished touch-sensitivity when you play an instrument by utilizing the accelerometer. I assume it could be the same for an imaging program.
I use the mouse almost exclusively with my photoshop work and only use the pen when I need it. But this version of photoshop will be running on a tablet with a touch interface. The allure behind that is not using a mouse, but rather a stylus/pen/finger. And unless you can get the precision of a pressure sensitive device, then I don't think it would mature much further than a hobbyist's tool.
I'm not sure if the accelerometer method would work to get such precise results. At least it didn't seem so when I read about how they got it to work. Touch sensitivity for playing a musical instrument is a bit different than drawing/painting/etc. I could be wrong though.

Ahh the man with the shaky hand from the Lion demonstration.
It's hard not to begin shaking using that terrible mouse(Magic Mouse). On a hot summer day it's really hard using it. Here in Denmark the summer is really moist. And because of the surface of the mouse, after a longer period of time sweat begins to assemble on top making the swipe features simply not work. You have to have totally dry fingers and palms for using that mouse.
My point is; Apple, stop making mice all together. You're terrible at it. get a deal with Logitech for instance and have them cook up a beautiful mouse to go with your design standards.
The Magic Trackpad has the same issues like the Magic Mouse has. If it's not cramps it's sweaty palms and fingers.
I felt Craig's pain when he was demoing Lion. I cringed, thinking that it was not the best way to demo the swipe features.
I'm doing it wrong? Story of my life. ;)
