Whatever is the report on CNN, why do you have to draw an analogy between US and Indian? I mean, you think that there are only two nations in the world - US and India? Or do you think that all people on IV forums are from India? Sorry, it is not my objective to offend anybody but I find these analogies very funny. Also, I think such immature posts hurt our cause. You bring the forum�s attention to a good point, however, the post screwed-up in driving away non-Indian members on the forum. Also, if you hold a negative opinion about the place of your birth, how would you be able to develop a respect towards the country you want to as your future home?
Please be considerate towards the feelings of all nationalities on the forum. Just a suggestion....

Thats true. There will be supply of more 485s to the pool but that will be from EB1 and EB2 row which are always current. I guess you could reduce the 140k/year based on those numbers but since these cats are always current does it suggest there is not much demand?

Usually they ask for only copies of all the docs and not the originals.And they may ask to show the original copies of the birth,marriage etc,wedding pics,family pics etc at the time of interviews.

Let us see the approvals trend till october. I am guessing the PD will move back to MID 2005 or 2004 by October for EB-2 India.
I don't agree. It will stay same or forward in small increments with new fiscal yr numbers available. I am saying so because EB2 I stayed for such long at 04/07 and everyone knows fewer LCs were filed/approved between 04 and 05.

There are several of us who have been left with no choice but to file under EB3 by our employers, despite qualifying for EB2 at least.

Unfortunately one needs to have a GC or be a USC in order to be eliglible for FAFSA or any federal financial aid.
I am in part time MBA program in UCB and many of my classmates with EAD/AP are getting FAFSA benefits. I am also applying for it next year...

But I like the idea of collecting 10$ for the fax and creating awareness. Lets move.
so let find out who is dead of department of homeland Security and get addresses , phone number and fax. USCIS is branch of DHS. That`s where we need to contact them and ask them what we THEY can do for us and what are our legal options
please someone work with core team to get that fax letter ready. I can do that if core team allow me

If there are no I-485 pending for EB2 I/C then the demand goes to zero (unless DOS/USCIS uses pending I-140s to decide demand). And if demand < supply then the category goes to current (atleast per the explanation in the demand data document).And definitely if EB2 I/C folks post July 2007 are allowed to file I-485 then USCIS will realize demand is not zero but say 50K. Then again next month PD goes back to late 2007.

We can go all day, moving blame from Fresh students to desi consulting companies to US immigration policies. I feel that part of the problem lies on the hiring company/client as well. These days, they want to spend 40 dollars per hour for a person with 10 years of exp in Java + dot net + ETL + BO + Mainframe. Client wants that person to work like a superman during the normal business hour (8 AM to 5 PM) and they want the same person to work like a Batman (from 7 PM to 1 AM) with off shore. On weekends he also becomes Spiderman and flies to all corners of the US to support different clients/projects. Now....imagine a combination of Superman+Batman+Spiderman in 40 dollars per hours?? They get a 23 years old guy having 10 years of experience on his resume....through a desi consulting company. Who is at fault? The person who faked the resume? The person who tried to sell his resume? Or the entity who wants a combination of Superman, Batman and Spiderman in 40 dollars per hour? I am yet to find an answer!

Taking a benefit of one group, then distribute the pain across the board is not fair to ROW applicants. This is not the solution. You cannot say to us ROW people that we don't understand the fustration of waiting for our GC as well.
I think its ridiculous that some family takes up to 4 GC from the EB GC pool, why don't you make a petition to state that only EB GC goes to EB primary applicant while your family takes up family based GC. Unless your wife and kids are hired to work as the rest of us, them taking EB based GC is unfair to the rest of us who don't have a family.
The point is to not 'distribute pain', it is to reduce the pain of a group.
Again, even though the benefits may go to one 'group', let me tell you that it is not a formal group and just as all ROW applicants are not one group, non-ROW applicants too are individuals and IT DOESN'T MATTER TO ONE INDIVIDUAL HOW MUCH OTHERS GOT BENEFITED.
So your point of saying that one group is benefited is irrelevant, because GCs aren't given to groups and only to individual applicants.
Your other point is absolutely right! Family should not be counted, and I'm in 100% agreement with that!
