Looks like Apple made it clear to me what size iPad they want me to buy. :)
What does that mean? Is there a larger one or something coming out? Spill the beans, don't be secretive and cryptic.

When I initially installed Lion I was very impressed by the new features. Now, and after I have been using it for a week now, I not that impressed anymore. I think there is room for improvements:
* Launchpad: The idea is good but the implementation could be much better. You should make launchpad behave like a computer application and not like an iPad one! Right click should offer context menu to create new folders, rename and delete folders. Right clicking on an app should offer options to move it to an existing folder, or create a new one. Launchpad should also have the option not to run in full screen mode! In its current incarnation I am not going to be using it. I still prefer Spotlight for running apps. For organizing them I still prefer the apps folder on the dock.
* Full screen mode: A good idea that works very well if you have small screens or/and resolution. On my ACD I have so much space that for most apps, full screen mode is an overkill. I don't see me using it a lot. Maybe when Aperture gets it I will use it.
* Mission Control: This one I like. It combines spaces and expose very nice.
* Mail.app: The new layout is nice but I would like to see some new features regarding Exchange Server. More compatibility to Exchange would be nice. Support for Out of Office messages, categories and Exchange tasks are essential.
* Saving the state of apps: It does take a while to get used to the fact that the state of all apps is always being saved on exit. I would prefer to have the option (without using the Alt key) to not save the state of an app by default. There are situations you don't want to have an app resume its state. Imagine showing a video to someone. You close quicktime and then after a while you need quicktime again. You open it and the video resumes...Not very good!
* Finder: I prefer to have the devices on top on the left side of Finder and not on the bottom. There should be an option to change that.

I'm going to give it another shot. Didn't do much for me on the Playstation, bu then I got it at the same time as FF7 and the original Resident Evil (and Parrapa the Rappa :) ) so it didn't get much play time...

Thanks for that 101 it helps.
What does designating something a "title" do if you are also putting in size 5 green text?
I know how to customize my CSS within GoLive's graphical interface so that "title" means something by going into the CSS menus and then clicking on my CSSs "tags" on the sideline bar thingy. In other words, I create a standard title look without code. :o

All of my browsers regularly freeze on MySpace. I regularly get a "playlist not valid" or some error like that because apparently the WMP 10 has a different format and since WMP9 for Mac was only available months after WMP10 for Windows, it doesn't know anything about the other. I suppose we should be thankful that we have WMP9 at all.
Anyway, from my experience you can't get things to work unless you use Windows. Apparently, Tom, the main person in charge uses a PowerBook to work on the site but everything is running on Windows NT 4. At least, I see the error messages for NT 4 once a month.

I don't run it any more as it apparently rips hard drives and I couldn't be bothered setting up the RAM disk method. It also turns my G5 into a bit of a wind tunnel some times.
BS. Where are you getting your info? The CPU does all the work, the HD only stores the info crunched to send back to SETI. I am coming up on my 1st yr anniversary and no problems. My main machine is the G3/300, 6 yrs old and still purring like the day it was new. Just make sure you have a good air flow through the box and everything will be fine. It is the peps that use PowerBooks that burn up your machine, probably because they don't raise it off the table to get air underneath it. I use 1/2" rubber feet and a small desk fan blowing across the unit to cool my PowerBook the fan hardly comes on. My temps never exceed 109F in my G3.

Great post. This worked just fine for downgrading my iPod Touch 4g from 4.2.1 to 4.1. You probably should mention that the person needs to edit their hosts file or else it will fail when verifying the restore with iTunes.
Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and locate hosts file.
Open this hosts file in Notepad and add this "74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com".
I would of added Mac instructions but unfortunately iReb isn't available for Mac yet.

ok, im starting saving up. :)
also you can connect apple display with mini displayport to thunderbolt. what the diference it would be if a display has thunderbolt? bigger resolution because of higher speed?
and what would daisy-chaining give me?
The difference would be just one or two less cables. Hopefully two.

If you have dreamweaver, you can try using their library functions. It allows you linked any tables, texts, layers to a library item so when you update that library item, every page that uses that item gets updated. Same goes for their template.

The HTML is fully valid, i tried it on a couple old dells and it worked on there IE6 so i am assuming it was a problem with the multi ie installation i have on my vm.
I also have IE6 running on a XP machine that I keep around just for checking some web sites on it. It is a system install not a VM. I checked your link at http://cabbit.co.uk/public/demo/ and it appeared to be OK as well.

Can you actually do me a favor? On your computer, locate this file:
/library/logs/console/501/console.log
This is a file into which log information is written by the system continuously whenever it is on and you are logged in. Can you put it to sleep, and then wake it in the manner which causes your kb to not work? Then look at this file. What we're interested in is whatever is entered in the log immediately during sleep onset and then waking and up to the time that your kb starts working again... it might help explain this. If you can get that part and post it here, it might help.
Otherwise, you might also try standard things such as repairing permissions, and so on, but I'm not sure if they will help or not. :( It could be that a botched permission on a kernel extension or something else needed to activate the KB again is causing the delay.

No, but you could do a block copy restore of the install DVD to a small partition on either its drive, or an external HD connected to that machine.
If the 2nd machine is an Intel Mac, its drive will be partitioned using a GUID map. PPC Macs can't boot to a drive using that map - it must be APM. So, if the preceding is true, you will need an external drive partitioned using APM (in the Disk Utility "Partition" tab, click on "Options..." to set the map type).
To make the bootable copy on your other machine's HD (or external drive), run Disk Utility and create a small (10GB should be enough) partition formatted Mac OS Extended (also making sure to set APM as the partition map type). Then, use Restore to copy the DVD to that new partition, making sure to check "erase destination" (which enables block copy).
Start up your other (2nd) Mac using FireWire Target Disk mode (hold down 'T' at startup). Now, when you startup the iMac G4, hold down the 'option', then select the partition you cloned the DVD to on your other machine. You should be able to startup on it, and during install, select the iMac's HD as the install target.
Hope that's not too confusing - I mixed "other" and "2nd" when describing your not-iMac-with-working-DVD machine. The bottom line is to access a bootable partition on that machine that you can boot off of using that machine in Target Disk Mode, connected to the iMac via FireWire.
Or, find an external FireWire DVD drive for the iMac. :)

For Firefox, is there a reason you're using Tabbrowser Extensions and not Tabbrowser Preferences?
Oooh, love your screenname, btw. :D
Yes there is: because there were some specific features in TBE that were not in TBP that I wanted. When I got FF 1.0, I installed TBP because TBE wasn't in the extensionroom anymore (because it was deprecated), but I didn't find everything I wanted in it, so I canned it and googled TBE out of hiding.
That was the main reason. And the only other extension I use is AdBlock, so I haven't seen any extension-extension grousing. But maybe I need to take another look at TBP at some point and see if I indeed want to play by the rules and migrate.
TBE is still active, running through the night like a guerilla soldier. It was updated in mid-January, at least.
EDIT: Hehehe, sorry, I thought you were asking me, but it makes more sense if you're asking the OP. I don't want to sound patronizing, but you didn't get TBP by accident when you installed FF on your Mac, because TBE is not in the extensionroom, did you? That would explain why a lot of the options are missing. :D But it sounds like you know too much to get caught by that one.

If only they had a little more resolution in the 13 and a matte option, I could deal with the dual core and integrated graphics. As for the iMac, I'm getting everything maxed (except for RAM, which I'll do on my own), including the SSD + HDD. Every since installing the c300, I don't think I could go back to just having a traditional HDD, but after reading how tricky a self install of an SSD into an iMac, I'll let Apple do it lol. The OptiBay wasn't too bad, and it's easy enough to reverse if I need to bring it in for warranty issues.

I see you have the 16MB memory module, that the one I sold you?
Could have been, it was some time ago now! memory is not what it was. :D
I have two boxed white ones, one with a rare outer shipping box and it came with some additional Pippin literature which can be seen on my Flickr account.

The Black US version with the outer box and manual and the Grey/Black version from KatzMedia which is actually a chassis and plastic case unassembled, two keyboards, wireless controller and an ADB controller.
