Job duties and same/similar job functions will be deciding factor. If your GC is for Programmer Analyst and if you become manager as Assets Manager, it will be an issue. If you are promoted as IT manager having significant overlap of job functions, you should be fine.

The fact that you are moving to a new employer using your EAD is in essence using the AC-21 portability provision. This new employer will now have to support your AC-21 claim.
You don't have to do anything further. In case employer A revokes your I-140, then USCIS might send an NOID. This can be easily reversed by sending in your AC-21 documents via the new employer.
There is no such thing as "continuing your GC process with your old employer" in your case. It is only true if you are working for your new employer using H1-B or other type of a visa, NOT EAD.
If anyone has doubts about what I said then please correct me.

GC is for the future job and hence if your prospective employer will be able to proceed with your GC in your absence till its very end then you should be fine and still be able to come into US as a GC holder when GC is offered to you. However in this case you can't do Adjustment of status since you willn't be staying inside US and hence have to opt for Consular processing if you haven't opted for Consular processing.

Hi Guys!
By law how many days one is required to stay with sponsor after GC approval in EB2? What documents we will need to prove to USCIS at Citizenship interview to prove that we stayed with sponsor for "required" time.

assuming you don't have all your I-94s and I797s,
having W-2s/paystubs for all the years is enough to prove that you have always been in status?

You may already be knowing this. But a note of caution, after hearing few horror stories on H4 going out of status involuntarily.
Extension of renewal on H1 does not mean H4 is automatically renewed. Your new H1b is valid until 2009. Unless you have filed I-539 along with your H1b renewal application, your wife is not going to get new I-94. So if her I-94 is expiring december 2007, she will be out of status after that date, not withstanding your H1B validiity.
It doesnt matter if her visa stamp has your latest employer listed. The single most important thing that will determine her legal status is the validity of I-94 stamp

I am on H4 visa. Applied for 485 in june 2007 and got my EAD and AP last month.
Unfortunately I also applied for H1 visa in march 2007, and it got approved now. I told the employer that I will work on EAD and don't need my visa.
He is now blackmailing me to pay the amount or he will give negative feedback/comments/reason for me in H1 cancellation letter.
I didnot sign any agreement with him.
What is the H1 cancellation form/letter?
Does it have any impact on my Green Card Process? Please Advise.

I would say EB3 March 2005. Remember, after PERM was put into place in early 2005 more people applied in EB2 than in EB3. I am not an expert, please consult your attorney.
