With all due respect, the probelem I have with volunteers is that I don't think amtures can pull a job this big, you've got to have profesionals, somethng like a compain maneger.
I admire the courage of your guys, and think the goal is fantastic. But the way it goes, I don't see how it can be achieved.
I've learned a great deal about immigration from the forum here. I very much appreciate it. I try to give back by answering questions others may have. I think IV has been doing a great job serving as that capacity.
But you guys want do something bigger. Well, you have faith in it, I don't, at least not now, neither many others. Maybe that is why you are still asking for money and volunteers.

A) You depart from the United States; or
B) The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made on the application.

I am one of those guys who are UNHAPPY about the freak mistake by USCIS to make everybody CURRENT. If this had happened two months later, I would have been fine (and somebody else would have been waiting to get married soon).
You wouldn't believe how happy I was that USCIS backed off their mistake and I thought I still had some time to get married. I know this is a little selfish, but, I wasn't gaining anything when USCIS made everybody CURRENT.
I-485 filed today anyway.

With all due respect asking Bernanke to increase visa numbers of to do visa recapture is like asking a very successful lawyer to do a by-pass surgery.
Congressmen (senators included) make the law and President signs it into the law. President is also the head of executive (which includes USCIS), hence he is the boss of USCIS. Its basic civics 101.
Even if Bernanke is convinced 100% about your points, there is nothing he can do to help us. He doesn't make the laws, and USCIS has no reasons to listen to him (he isn't their boss). So what you suggest, my friend, is that we bark up the wrong tree, instead of approaching the right people - who are the only people who can fix our problems.

I agree .. again :) .. that companies may not be too excited about the employees taking off for a few hours.
Can't we have something potent:
Say we have a page on IV that lists all the members with names, GC applied on, wait time to date, company working for. Accompanied by any info that makes this look authentic like SRC number .. or something (need not be displayed, but can be in database).
We could then get some graphs and statistics based on these figures and pass it on to lawmakers, other people who need to be influenced.
This way we have all teh facts .. rather than arbitrary data like:
"Today the system takes anywhere between 6-12 years to grant Green cards to some of the best and brightest of the world who have chosen America as their future home."

I think flowers comaign is a good idea. But I wanted to know why don't we send letters and emails to Mr.Aytes and USCIS Director and probably HEads of DOS to issue the 182,000 unused visas since 2000 now so USCIS can work on those visas from July to October.
NYTimes article mentioned that DOS officials did not want this years number wasted like the 182,000 visas got unused since 2000.
Can someone come up with a writing so we can all send emails and postals mails with this request.
They need a mandate from the congress to do it, once in the past, during the clinton administration, they got the "GO" to use up unused visas.
The current administration dosent want to do that, that is exactly why we need more awareness in the media and the congress.

USCIS stoped issuing interim EAD before years... We just been to local office this Monday and they said they don't issue it any more..

BUT I GOT HOLD OF PS 3811 FORM WHICH IS TYPICALLY GREEN FORM RECEIVING GUY SIGNS HAS STAMP OF 062907. EVEN THOUGH IT REACHED ON JULY 02
EXPLAINATION I GOT FROM USPS CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT JULY 02 BEING THE FIRST DAY AFTER LONG WEEKEND THE GUY MIGHT HAVE FORGOTTEN TO CHANGE THE DATE.
I AM WORRIED HE MIGHT HAVE NOT STAMPED THE SAME DATE ON MY APPLICATION. IN THAT CASE IT WILL BE RETURNED.

What can Obama do when most of the Republicans are dead against the immigration reform. They didn't allow their own party president to pass the CIR. Do you think they will allow Obama to do it?
He won't be able to pass any new laws anymore, they can't even agree on a budget. Forget any other controversial topic. BUT , when he ran for the office, he had promised to fix "the broken immigration system" within the first year of his office. He hasn't kept many of his major promises and is highly doubtful to get re-elected if the Republicans have a strong candidate(disclaimer: Trump isn't a strong candidate)
We're bound to be in this rut for a very long time if we want to stay here!
