They sell them because people like myself threw out our turntable years ago. Plus, the setup and ease of use. They work great, I have an Ion brand and ripped over forty albums.

I preordered, personally. I'm looking forward to getting
home from work and having my family pack already there without having to go wait in line. Launch day purchases can be fun for new products, but it hasn't been very long since getting my iPhone and somehow waiting for a DVD doesn't seem that exciting. :)

I've been using MacTubes for awhile and it breathed new life into my iMac G4. Which is my itunes/youtube server now.

The new one has some improvements in internal layout, cooling, and expandability.
If you do not plan on upgrading the machines while you own them -- then buying on cost alone shouldn't be much of a problem during ownership, since performance is similar.
However, if you plan on doing a lot of heavy optical burning (or see the need to keep optical up-to-date or need more than one), if you see the need a bunch of HDs, or you plan on keeping the CPU up-to-date -- then the newer one may make a little more sense.

who still uses OS9 and for what??
I still use it on my G3 Pbook Wallstreet. Namely because it only has 128MB of RAM and I'd like to throw some more of that in and get a processor upgrade before I decide to put OSX on it.

Publicity really boosts these auctions. They're easy to miss if you're not paying attention the week the auction is on.
If you hadn't mentioned it maybe nobody would have noticed and you could have got it for the $100 reserve as the only bidder!

Go with the 5th Gen Nano[/B]
If you..
- want superior battery life
- want superior capacity
- hard drive fragility isn't a issue for you
- interested in holding video (16GB nano isn't going to do much for holding video)
- don't mind the larger form factor (some prefer it, fits much more comfortably in hand for me in comparison to the nano)
Go with the classic
Very well put, and I agree with your conclusion. To the OP, my recommendation also would be to go for the classic.
Cheers

I remember this rumor being circulated before the 3G was even released.
I don't think it'll happen and I don't think it would look good if it did.

Hello everyone.
I've been thinking a lot about getting either an iPad 2 or an iPhone 4. Iv'e saved a lot of money, and I really want to spend some of them, on one of these devices, but I just don't know which one to get. So just wanted to hear, if anyone out there had the same problem?
I want the iPad cause want a very portable device, for example on holidays etc. and to do some easy school tasks.
the other way around, I would like to get a new phone, i'm just scared of loosing it on the floor. I've got an old sony ericsson phone, it get's the job done, and that's it, but it's durable.
Anyone with some advice?
- Thanks, and btw sorry for my bad english, I'm from Denmark.

Understood. In the future, you can add the editing template to an article while you're editing it to warn others not to. Usage is as follows (this automatically adds your name and the current date & time):
Thanks for the added clarification and understanding. I (as usual) overreacted, but I could tell (from your first reply in PM) that your intentions were not hostile. I will remember to use the editing code next time I post up a new guide.
Thanks again for the assistance, and I have learned some valuable wiki experience that should help avoid these types of transactions in the future.
Your help, understanding, and patience is greatly appreciated!

I received a $20 PlatStation Network card the other day and I spent $5 of it on LittleBigPlanet DLC. I'm trying to find a game I would like on the PlayStation store for under $15. What would you guys recommend?

I have Crucial installed in my iMac 2009. Haven't ever had any issues with it. It wasn't 1333 mhz though. I just ordered 1066 for my new Mac Mini from Amazon. 5 stars there.

Most latch troubles are caused by the user opening the lid and rolling the thumb over the hook before it has a chance to stow - so be careful.

Hellhammer, just wanted to say thanks for creating the guide! It was very clear and easy for me to follow when I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard.

It appears that OS X will truncate any password longer than 7 characters to only 8 characters. In other words, it's an 8-character overflow. This problem is global in that it affects the Login Window, Screen Effects, Keychain Access, and even network logon security. For anyone with long password phrases that have easily-guessable words in the first 8 characters, this is a problem. Since "MacintoshOSXIsMoreSecureThanMicrosoftWindows" only needs to be entered as "Macintosh", gaining unauthorized access is very simple with a common name attack. Of course, we all have passwords that are a combination of letters and numbers, including a mix of upper- and lower-case characters. ;)

honestly, it feels like Lion is more of an experiment then an actual upgrade. Maybe preparing not just for the future of IOS but Mac OS to.

Hello guys,
I've recently ran into an issue. I need to copy files from an external drive to an IMAC but I need all dates to be preserved. Like creation date, modification date etc...
Is that possible somehow?
Thanks a bunch for your help.

What if its not a MacBook but rather a 5.1 sound systems with wireless speakers. Apple is rumoured to be replacing their boombox, so why not jump to the next tech and also incorporate streaming from AppleTV etc
