Blooming lovely: Sarah Jessica Parker wore a floral Vivienne Westwood dress and nude Charlotte Olympia heels as she arrives at the Tokyo premiere of Sex And The City 2

It was more Sex in another City last night as the sequel's leading ladies headed to Japan for the third premiere.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon put on another turn on the red carpet in designer couture as they attended the champagne screening in Tokyo.

As with the previous two premieres in New York and London, Parker wore the most show-stopping dress out of the four stars as she arrived in a stunning floral multi-tiered Vivienne Westwood creation.

As fans will know, Parker wore a green Vivienne Westwood to the world premiere of the first film in London two years ago and her character Carrie Bradshaw wore a Westwood wedding dress for her would-be marriage to Mr Big, which was cancelled after he got cold feet.

Aside from Westwood, the 45-year-old kept her whole outfit British, accessorising with a gold Skull clutch bag by her late friend Alexander McQueen and a pair of satin nude heels by half English, half Brazilian shoe designer Charlotte Olympia.

But while Parker's dress made the biggest impact, her co-star Cattrall also attracted attention with a new hairstyle.

It appeared she had had a few centimetres chopped off her hair following Monday's photocall in Tokyo and had her previous waves replaced by a poker straight chin-length bob yesterday.

The 53-year-old shimmered in a gold knee-length dress with long train by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan, who also created the gown she wore to the New York premiere last week.

Their co-star Davis opted for a dress that her character Charlotte would have worn - a yellow taffeta vintage Jean Patou Haute Couture by Christian Lacroix prom dress with silver glitter Christian Louboutin heels.

Meanwhile, Nixon wore a simple black strapless Calvin Klein dress with asymmetrical hemline and high heels.

After managing to climb down the stairs at the Roppongi Hills Arena in their towering heels, the women quaffed champagne with the film's director Michael Patrick King

Ahead of Tuesday's premiere, the women met Japanese fans at a Q&A session on Monday.
Cattrall said: 'I think one of the things that always surprises us, no matter where we go... is that we translate so well.'

Davis showed off her language skills as she said 'arigato' (thank you very much) because she believed Japanese women were more tolerant of her character's conservative views.

Despite only ending up in third place at the U.S. box office over the weekend, Sex And The City 2 did enter number one in the UK box office, taking £6.13million.
