all though I have a permanent job and valid h1 till 2012, with i140 cleared. I am planning to move back to india. I am all supportive for this law suit.

I am really proud of the group that thought about this idea, frankly at first I was not convinced that it would be such a good idea. But hey, anything that gets attention is a good idea. So kuddos to english_august, nixtor and the rest of the gang that made this happen.
another note: people who disagree with this idea, and feel that it is childish, please: what is your grand idea, and what are you planning to do? have you sent emails to reporters? talked to anyone about what is wrong with the USCIS?.

Went to local office (infopass) and called POJ method, Both IO's said that my FBI name check cleared.
What is poj method?

In its note http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/VisaBulletin2Jul07.pdf, the USCIS clearly says it would reject applications starting 7/2. So, how can it accept July applications--especially when many of them haven't been sent yet?

USCIS Ombudsman has released the 2007 Annual Report to Congress at link below. It is an interesting read. I am still reading it. At page 31, the question is posed:
�Exactly how many employment-based green card applications does the agency have pending?� USCIS still cannot answer that question today with certainty."
Also, per the backlog redifinition, the USCIS has about 1.2 million applications (as of March 2007) that it considers active. However, it does not count an additional 1.3 million applications in the backlog that are considered "unripe" cases by the USCIS.
I request the moderators to make this a sticky and if possible put a link on the homepage.

Why do you think Diwali is only for Indians ? It has been recognized by US as a national festival just last week. It okay to deviate from norm sometimes. We will make sure there are wishes given for each festival. Festivals are meant to showcase culture and bring people together.
Happy Eid, Happy christmas ,Happy Hanukah in Advance.
We know we are working together for a cause. Stop the negative energy and increase postiive energy with the Festival of lights.
Happy diwali to all (Not just Indians )

I didnt see any post wishing happy Eid/ Eid Mubarak nor did I notice last year that anyone wished a Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays, nor do we wish our Chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year.

I only meant if you have the native country license already or if you can get it remotely. Leaving the US for the express purpose of getting you native country license would be an overkill...as you would agree :)
Unfortunately, I can't leave the US for the following reasons
a) AOS pending
b) H1 expiring soon
c) Won't get any vacation time as just joined a new job.

I am not sure about voting part of it but sure more open informative discussion always right and can draw more folks into conversation and subsequently donations for the cause.... The secretiveness does not help for our community at all, remember we are fighting for "LEGAL" immigration.

My question is
what are the ramifications if
1. I apply for i-485 now.
2. get married and bring spouse on h4 and she remains on h4
and my I485 is approved before the PD is current so spouse is out of status for a short while before she can apply for AOS?
